Foot: "Hall Pass"

I recently had the opportunity to go to the movies for the first time in forever. My life has been consumed by College, so it is always good to do something for simply pleasure. I had never heard of Hall Pass, but my friends really wanted to see it and after watching the trailer, I agreed this movie was a must see! The plot of the story revolves around two married couples who are friends. The two wives have become fed up with their overly curious husbands who long for attention from younger women. The wives have decided to allow their husbands a week off from marriage, they are able to do absolutely anything, no questions asked.

This comedy became symbolic to life. We tend to always be intrigued by the things we know we cannot have or pursue and when the opportunity arises for us to capitalize on these things, they do not seem as appealing. Okay, maybe I thought way too deep about this parody, but I am a future educator and it has become second nature to find hidden messages in all texts. I suggest everyone who enjoys a good life to go out and see this movie.

  1. I saw Hall Pass too, I was very satisfied with the movie, it was hilarious and made fun of very real situations that happen day to day. I really liked the movies because of its message of how we are all tempted but it is how we behave in the face of temptation that truley defines us. I liked the fact that the main character didnt cheat on his wife when he had the chance, it mae me realize that we never realize how good someone is in our life untill we lose them.

  2. I saw commercials for this movie and I just figured it was another movie about how society is falling farther away form Christianity, and making adultery seem okay. Now that I know the husband doesn't cheat on his wife, I think I will venture out to see it.

I think it's good that you look for deeper meanings in all texts. I try to do the same thing in everything I watch and read. It's a good teacher trait!

  3. @Angel
I completely agree. Society has normalized infidelity and it has caused the downfall of marriages. Standing strong on the foundation of Christ is definitely what makes the difference in all of this. I love the consistency you have with your faith and walk with God.
